Went overseas to become a motor mechanic.
Call fireman No. 1 motor engine Patricia. Enlisted Private December 20th, 1915, mechanical transport, Army Service Corps. Imperial Army. His request for leave of absence was approved on December 21, 1915. He went overseas in March 1916 as a Private in the 18th Ambulance Column.
Addendum: The Board of Control of January 5, 1916, states that he was an "Assistant Chauffeur" on the Patricia. They confirmed that he had enlisted and "that Eugene Woodworth be appointed First Assistant Chauffeur on Motor Engine, vice Cornelius Leahy on leave of absence."
